To me, this sentence really is the perfect summary of immigration. Most of it is chance. Even the most carefully laid plans can collapse with the slightest provocation, because anything can go wrong. And something inevitably does. Immigration is risky at best- even when (le gasp) it is done legally. Illegal Immigration is even more difficult and dangerous.
Nice job Katy! You phrased your thoughts really well and it's so totally true! Many things that you carefully plan end up differently than you wanted it to! Good points!
